Chair mat for medium-plush carpets

The Lorell 25755 PlushMat is a clear vinyl chair mat designed for medium-plush carpets between 3/8" and 1/2" thick. It protects the carpet from caster pressure and reduces leg strain by allowing smoother rolling across the workspace. The rectangular mat measures 60" long by 46" wide with a .13" thickness. A 25" wide by 12" long lip extends under the desk to cover the carpet when the chair is pushed in.

Studded back for carpet grip

The single specification that determines compatibility is the studded backing designed specifically for medium-plush carpet piles. These studs grip the carpet fibres to hold the mat firmly in place without piercing or damaging the carpet backing. The mat is not intended for use on hard floors, low-pile carpets or thick-pile carpets outside the stated range.

Heavy-duty vinyl resists daily wear

The heavy-duty vinyl construction is built to withstand daily wear and tear from rolling office chairs. The material distributes caster weight evenly to prevent premature carpet crushing and maintains its clarity over time. The smooth edge allows easy transition on and off the mat during sustained use throughout the workday.

Questions about this item

How does the .13-inch thickness feel when rolling a chair on medium-plush carpet?

At .13 inch thick, the vinyl distributes caster pressure evenly across 3/8 to 1/2 inch carpet so the mat stays flat and rolling stays smooth without bottoming out.

What does the studded back actually grip and will it damage the carpet backing?

The studs press into the carpet pile and padding to hold the 60 by 46 inch mat in place without piercing the carpet backing.

Will the 12 by 25 inch lip fit under a standard desk overhang?

The lip extends 12 inches deep and 25 inches wide to cover the carpet beneath the desk when the chair is pushed all the way in.
