Bridge component for Chateau Series

This bridge unit connects Lorell Chateau Series desks and credenzas to form a continuous work surface. The 41.4" width spans between two main pieces, while the 23.6" depth matches the series profile. A 1.5" thick top with reeded edge detail gives the piece a distinctive profile, and the mahogany laminate finish resists daily wear.

Suited to modular office layouts

Buyers building a U-shaped or extended desk configuration using Chateau Series components will find this bridge completes the run. A full modesty panel provides privacy on the approach side, and a single grommet hole routes cables cleanly. Shoppers needing a freestanding table or a corner unit should look elsewhere, as this piece requires attachment to adjacent Chateau furniture.

41.4" wide bridge with 1.5" top

The critical dimension is the 41.4" width, which determines the gap it can span between a desk and a credenza. The 1.5" top thickness and reeded edge are fixed design details that must match the adjoining pieces for a flush joint. Verify that your existing Chateau components share the same depth and finish before ordering.

Questions about this item

Will the P2 particleboard core of the 34324 bridge swell or need replacing if the laminate surface gets scratched?

The 1.5" thick top uses P2 particleboard with a mahogany laminate finish; if the laminate is breached, moisture can swell the core, so touch-up or top replacement would be needed.

What stops me from adding more than one Lorell Essentials pedestal under the 41.4" wide bridge span?

The bridge includes a full modesty panel that runs the 41.4" width, leaving only the open kneespace for a single pedestal on each side.

How warm does the 1.5" laminate top feel after monitors and a laptop sit on it all day?

The mahogany laminate surface reaches near room temperature under typical office equipment loads and does not become noticeably warm to the touch.
