Five-drawer lateral file

The Lorell 43517 is a black lateral file with five drawers built for high-density filing in professional environments. Its 42-inch width accepts letter, legal and A4 folders side-to-side on included hangrails. Receding fronts on the upper four drawers roll out for full access to contents.

Offices needing secure, high-capacity filing

The interlock allows only one drawer open at a time and dual lock bars secure both ends, suiting workspaces that require controlled access. Buyers who need internal dividers or a narrower footprint should consider other configurations.

42-inch width with five drawers

At 42 inches wide the cabinet holds five drawers, including two top roll-out binder shelves and a fixed-front bottom drawer. This width and drawer count determine whether the unit matches your available wall space and filing volume.

Questions about this item

Will the 42-inch width fit alongside my existing 18-inch deep cabinets?

The unit measures 42 inches wide by 18 inches deep, so it aligns with standard lateral file footprints and sits flush against cabinets of the same depth.

How can I confirm the interlock system is working after assembly?

Open one drawer fully; the interlock should physically block every other drawer from extending more than a few millimetres until the first drawer is closed.

Which filing accessories are included and which must be purchased separately?

Hangrails for letter, legal and A4 side-to-side filing are included; dividers are not supplied and must be ordered separately.
