Single-Sided Book Cart for Office Use

The Lorell 49204 is a putty-coloured steel cart designed to keep books and binders sorted while moving them through an office or library. Three slanted shelves hold materials at a convenient angle for quick access. It ships as a single unit and requires assembly before use.

200 lb Capacity on Four Swivel-Locking Casters

The frame supports up to 200 lbs distributed across its three shelves, making it suitable for heavy reference volumes and stacked binders. Four swivel-locking casters allow the cart to be rolled into position and then secured so it stays put during loading or unloading.

Assembly Required with Basic Tools

The cart arrives unassembled; expect to spend time bolting the perforated steel panels and mounting the casters using the included hardware. The most common issue is misaligned shelf holes, so loosely fit all fasteners before tightening to keep the frame square. Once built, the 46-inch height and 39-inch width fit standard aisle widths.

The cart is rated to hold up to 200 lbs of books, binders or other materials across its three shelves, making it suitable for moving heavy loads between rooms.

How does the ANSI/BIFMA standard affect this cart?

Meeting ANSI/BIFMA means the unit has passed industry tests for safety, durability and stability in office environments.

Will the 39-inch width fit through standard doorways?

At 39 inches wide, the cart is wider than a typical 32-inch interior door, so you may need to angle it or use a wider opening.
