Executive Chair for Office Use

The Lorell 59497 is a high-back executive chair designed for desk work. Bonded leather upholstery covers the seat and back while the fixed arms are padded with matching PVC. A 27-1/2" nylon base with 2" hooded dual-wheel casters provides mobility across hard floors or low-pile carpet.

Suits Users Up to 250 lb

This chair supports a weight capacity of 250 lb and offers a seat height range of 18-1/2" to 22-1/4". Buyers who need a higher weight rating or a mesh back for airflow should look at other models. The fixed armrests cannot be adjusted in height or width, so users who require movable arms will need a different design.

Simple Assembly with Common Tools

The chair ships in one carton and typically assembles in under thirty minutes using the included hardware. Aligning the gas-lift cylinder with the base is the most common snag; pressing the cylinder firmly into the base before attaching the seat avoids a wobbly fit. Casters snap into the base by hand and lock with an audible click.

Questions about this item

Does the 59497 chair arrive assembled or must I supply tools and time to build it?

The executive chair ships as a single unit with no assembly required; simply unbox, set the pneumatic height between 18-1/2 and 22-1/4 inches, and it is ready to use.

Will the 2-inch hooded dual-wheel casters on the 27-1/2-inch nylon base roll safely on my existing hardwood floor?

The standard casters are designed for carpet; on hardwood they can slip or scratch, so a separate set of soft-tread casters is recommended for that surface.

How do I verify the pneumatic lift and tilt lock on the 59497 are calibrated correctly after first use?

Sit in the chair, raise the seat to the highest position, engage the tilt lock, lean back — if the back stays fixed and the seat holds height without sinking, the mechanisms are functioning as designed.
