Heavy-duty steel shelving

This Lorell unit provides five shelves built from riveted steel with black laminate surfaces. It measures 48 inches wide by 24 inches deep by 72 inches high and carries a 3200 lb evenly distributed load rating. The shelves can be configured vertically or horizontally to fit the space. Model 59703 ships new in black finish.

Suitable uses and limits

It suits warehouses, workshops or stockrooms that need high-capacity bulk storage on a single freestanding frame. Buyers who need enclosed cabinets with doors, adjustable shelf heights or mobile casters should look at other product types. The fixed riveted construction does not allow shelf repositioning after assembly.

Load capacity

The 3200 lb evenly distributed weight rating is the key specification that determines whether this shelving meets the application. Verify that the intended inventory weight stays within this limit before purchase.

Questions about this item

How much weight can each 48-by-24-inch shelf hold?

The unit is rated for 3,200 lb evenly distributed across all five shelves, so plan loads accordingly.

What clearance is needed for the 72-inch height?

Allow at least 72 inches of vertical space plus room to manoeuvre the riveted steel frame during assembly.

Do the shelves bolt in or rest on rivets?

Shelves sit on the riveted steel frame; the common mistake is skipping the locking clips that prevent accidental lift-out.
