  • Full-extension ball-bearing slides on box/file pedestals
  • Central locking drawer with core-removable lock
  • Meets or exceeds ANSI/BIFMA performance standards

Sturdy steel desk with locking pedestals

This Fortress Series desk delivers a professional workspace built for daily use in business, government and education settings. Its 1-1/8 inch thick top resists scratches, stains and water while the reinforced double-frame structure keeps the unit solid. Full-extension ball-bearing slides on the box/file pedestals provide smooth operation. A core-removable lock on the centre drawer secures documents.

Suits offices needing secure storage and durability

Buyers who require a height-adjustable surface or a lightweight table for frequent moves should look elsewhere. The fixed steel frame and integrated pedestals make this desk difficult to reposition once assembled. Those needing built-in cable management channels or a standing-height option will not find them here.

60 inch wide putty oak laminate top

The work surface measures 60 inches wide by 30 inches deep with a putty oak laminate finish that resists everyday wear. This single dimension determines whether the desk fits your planned layout and matches existing furniture. Verify the footprint before ordering.

Questions about this item

Does the 60926 desk arrive fully assembled or do I need to buy tools or hardware separately?

The desk is sold as a single unit with integrated drawer pulls and a core-removable lock already installed; no extra hardware is mentioned in the product data.

The listing shows only one size — 60 by 30 by 29-1/2 inches — so how do I decide if this is the right version for my space?

That single 60 by 30 by 29-1/2 inch configuration is the only model offered under the 60926 part number, so the choice is simply whether those dimensions fit your room layout.

What does the 1-1/8 inch thick top with Oak laminate actually handle in daily office use?

The surface is rated scratch-resistant, stain-resistant and water-resistant, and the steel frame meets ANSI/BIFMA standards for durability under rigorous daily use.
