Low-pile chairmat with wide lip

The Lorell 69158 is a clear vinyl floor protector sized at 45 by 53 inches with a 25 by 12 inch lip. It is designed for low-pile carpets up to three-eighths of an inch thick and uses a gripper back to stay in place. Sold as a single unit.

Best for standard office chairs on thin carpet

This mat suits workers who roll a standard office chair on low-pile carpet and need the wide lip to extend under a desk. It will not work on hard floors, thick pile or plush carpet because the gripper backs are made for low-pile surfaces only.

Lip dimensions 25 by 12 inches

The 25 by 12 inch lip determines whether the mat reaches far enough under your desk to protect the carpet where the chair rolls most. Measure the desk overhang before buying; if the lip is too short or too long for your layout, choose a different size.

Questions about this item

Does the 45x53 inch mat with the 25x12 inch lip fit standard low-pile carpets up to 3/8 inch thick?

Yes, the vinyl mat is designed for low-pile carpets up to 3/8 inch thick. The gripper back holds it in place on various carpet styles and the roll-formed edge prevents curling.

What floor space and clearance are needed for the 45x53 inch mat and its 25x12 inch lip?

The main mat covers 45 by 53 inches. The lip extends 25 inches wide by 12 inches deep under the desk, so allow that extra depth beyond the desk edge.

How do I install the mat on low-pile carpet and which side faces down?

Unroll the mat in the room until it lies flat. Place the textured gripper side down on the carpet and the smooth clear side up. Press firmly so the grippers engage the pile.
