Return Shell Configuration

The Lorell 69387 is a mahogany return shell designed to extend a primary desk into an L-shaped workstation. It measures 48" wide by 24" deep with a height of 29.5". The unit features a 1" thick laminate top with 3mm PVC edges and includes two grommet holes for cable routing.

Handedness Requirement

This shell suits users building a fixed left-hand or right-hand return who can decide the orientation during assembly. It is not for buyers who need a reversible piece they can switch later, or anyone requiring a freestanding desk with full end panels.

Grommet Cable Management

The top incorporates two grommet holes as the sole built-in cable management feature. Buyers who need integrated wire trays, additional pass-through ports, or a solid surface without cut-outs should consider a different configuration.

Questions about this item

Will the 48-inch wide return shell sit level next to a desk that has a different leg height?

Adjustable feet let you match the 29.5-inch height to an adjacent desk so the surfaces line up.

How can I confirm the grommet holes are positioned for my monitor arm and power strip?

Two grommet holes are pre-drilled in the 1-inch laminate top; after assembly you can route cables through them to verify placement.

Does the box include the cam locks and dowels needed for left-hand or right-hand assembly?

All hardware for either left-hand or right-hand configuration is included; no extra fasteners are required.
