Desk shell for open-plan offices

The Lorell 69902 is a rectangular desk shell finished in mahogany laminate. It measures 30 inches wide by 29.5 inches deep by 29 inches high with a 1-inch thick top. The unit suits workers who need a basic surface for monitors and paperwork in a cubicle or home office.

Cord routing and stability limits

Two grommet holes in the top surface allow cables to pass through to the underside. The full modesty panel runs the width of the desk, so under-desk storage taller than the panel clearance will not fit. Adjustable feet compensate for uneven floors but add no height range beyond levelling.

Single-piece construction constraint

The shell ships as one assembled unit with metal-to-metal cam-lock connections already in place. Buyers who need a modular system that can be reconfigured into corners or clusters should look elsewhere. The fixed dimensions also prevent pairing with returns or bridges that require different widths.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 47-inch or 48-inch width version?

The desk shell is sold as a single 30-inch wide by 29.5-inch deep unit; the 47-inch and 48-inch figures in the listing refer to the same model measured differently.

How much usable workspace does the 30 by 29.5 inch top give me?

The 1-inch thick laminate top provides a full 30-inch wide by 29.5-inch deep surface with two grommet holes for cable routing.

What does the cam-lock connection system mean for assembly and stability?

Metal-to-metal cam-lock joints lock the frame together tightly, giving a rigid structure that resists wobble and can be assembled with basic tools.
