Product identity

The Lorell 69986 Essentials hanging pedestal is a two-drawer metal unit finished in walnut laminate with silver brushed pulls. It measures 15.5 inches wide by 21.9 inches deep by 28.5 inches high and attaches beneath a compatible desk top with included fasteners.

Who it suits

This pedestal suits offices that already use Lorell Essentials Series desks, credenzas or returns and need letter- or legal-size hanging file storage at the work surface. It is not for buyers who want a freestanding cabinet with its own top or who need drawers that fit a different desk system.

Setup checks

Verify that the mounting surface is an Essentials Series top pre-drilled for the supplied fasteners. Confirm the 15.5-inch width and 21.9-inch depth clearances under the desk. Ensure the 28.5-inch height reaches the floor for proper support.

Questions about this item

What desk or return must I already have to mount the 15.5" hanging pedestal?

It attaches to the underside of an Essentials Series desk, credenza or return using the included fasteners and extends to the floor.

Will the two file drawers accept the letter-size and legal-size hanging folders I already use?

Yes, each drawer includes hangrails that hold both letter-size and legal-size hanging files.

How can I confirm the ball-bearing suspension is operating correctly after installation?

Open and close each drawer fully; it should glide smoothly on the heavy-duty ball-bearing slides without binding.
