Right-Pedestal Desk for L-Workstations

This 72-inch wide right-pedestal desk belongs to the Lorell Commercial Steel Desk Series and is built with a durable steel chassis and a 1-1/8-inch thick laminated top. The mahogany finish with charcoal paint provides an upscale look suitable for professional environments. It can be used freestanding or paired with a left return to create an L-shaped workstation.

Assembly and Space Requirements

The desk requires assembly upon delivery and weighs 192 pounds, so plan for adequate manoeuvring space and assistance during setup. Verify that your intended location accommodates the 72-inch width and 36-inch depth footprint. Adjustable leveling glides are included to compensate for uneven flooring surfaces.

Storage Integration and Cable Management

Two locking drawers provide secure storage, including a box drawer for supplies and a file drawer for hanging folders on ball-bearing suspension. Four built-in grommets — two on the top and two on the end panels — route power and data cables neatly. Combining this unit with a bridge and left credenza completes a U-workstation configuration.

Questions about this item

Does the desk arrive fully assembled or will I need to put it together?

Assembly is required; the unit ships in one carton and includes all hardware for the steel chassis, laminated top, two drawers, grommets and adjustable glides.

Should I choose the 36-inch deep by 72-inch wide model or a different size?

This SKU 79144 is the only size offered — 36 inches deep by 72 inches wide — so select it when you need that exact footprint.

What does the 192-pound weight mean once the desk is in my office?

At 192 pounds the steel frame and 1-1/8-inch top stay stable under heavy use, and the adjustable glides keep it level on uneven floors.
