Lorell Door Kit 72" Black 79173

SKU CH-H7A1-8BATS

Adds locking flipper doors to a 72" wide stack-on hutch for privacy and security

  • Locking flipper doors secure 72" hutch contents
  • Steel ball-bearing slides ensure smooth door operation
  • Reinforced steel construction withstands daily commercial use
  • Included mounting hardware simplifies installation on existing hutch
  • Privacy panels keep workspace items out of sight

Purpose and fit

This door kit adds locking flipper doors to a 72" wide Stack-on Hutch from the Lorell Commercial Steel Desk Series. It is designed for offices that need to secure documents or equipment inside the hutch. Buyers who want more storage space or who use a different hutch width cannot use this kit.

Installation and pitfalls

Mounting hardware is included so the doors can be fitted to the existing hutch without extra parts. The steel ball-bearing slides let the reinforced doors glide over the cabinet top when opened. Misalignment during mounting can cause the doors to bind or the lock to catch.

Sustained use

The steel construction and ball-bearing slides are built for repeated daily opening and closing in a commercial environment. The locking mechanism keeps contents secure over long periods without degradation. No moving parts are exposed to dust buildup that could affect long-term operation.

Questions about this item

How do I confirm the flipper doors glide smoothly on the steel ball-bearing slides after installing the 72" kit?

Open and close each door several times; they should move without binding over the cabinet top and the lock should engage cleanly when shut.

What comes with the 79173 kit and do I need to buy the 72" Stack-on Hutch separately?

The package contains the door kit and mounting hardware; the matching 72" wide Stack-on Hutch from the Lorell Commercial Steel Desk Series must be purchased separately.

Which door kit matches my 72" wide Stack-on Hutch in the Lorell Commercial Steel Desk Series?

Choose the 72" black steel kit identified by part number 79173; it is sized specifically for that hutch width and series.
