Peninsula Desk for Home and Small Offices

The Lorell LLR69959 is a peninsula desk designed for home and small office environments. It provides a generous worksurface with a distinctive reeded edge profile. The unit is sold as a single piece and coordinates with the Lorell Essentials Series pedestals for expanded storage configurations.

Thermals Noise and Power Draw

As a passive laminate furniture item, this desk produces no operational noise and draws no electrical power. The Walnut laminate surface and PVC edge banding require no active cooling or energy input. Ambient room conditions do not affect the structural stability of the materials used.

Build Quality and Cable Management

The desk features high-quality Walnut laminate tops with durable reeded PVC edges for impact resistance. Two integrated grommet holes allow cord routing directly through the worksurface to keep cables organised. The design matches optional pulls and Essentials pedestals, letting you configure storage and access day to day.

Questions about this item

How is the Lorell LLR69959 peninsula desk assembled, and what step is commonly missed?

The desk ships as a single unit requiring assembly of the metal frame and laminate top; the step often missed is aligning the two pre-drilled grommet holes before tightening all bolts to ensure cord routing works correctly.

What maintenance or replacement will the Lorell LLR69959 need over time?

The PVC reeded edge may loosen or chip after heavy impact, requiring adhesive reattachment or edge-band replacement; the laminate surface resists wear but deep scratches cannot be repaired, only concealed with a walnut touch-up marker.

What is the first limitation that appears during sustained daily use of the 71-inch-wide work surface?

The 29.5-inch depth limits monitor-and-keyboard placement when using dual arms, and the single 66-inch return side offers no additional legroom for a second user, making collaborative work cramped.
