Executive lateral file for office suites

The Lorell PL2236MY is a two-drawer lateral file finished in mahogany laminate that resists marring, burns and impacts. It belongs to the Prominence 2.0 Series and ships fully assembled for immediate use in executive office suites. Both drawers lock for security and accept letter-size or legal-size hanging files with included hangrails.

Thermals noise and power draw in normal use

As a passive furniture piece the unit generates no heat, emits no noise and draws no power during daily operation. Ball-bearing slides provide smooth, full-extension drawer travel without mechanical whine. Adjustable glides keep the cabinet stable on uneven floors without additional energy input.

Replaces single-drawer or shelf-based filing

This cabinet replaces limited single-drawer units or open shelving by doubling locked capacity in the same footprint. The jump is worth it when confidential documents need secure, organised storage and when frequent access demands full-extension drawers that glide on ball-bearing slides.

Questions about this item

How do I level the lateral file on an uneven floor?

Turn the 3/4" adjustable glides at each corner until the cabinet sits stable and the drawers open evenly.

What will need replacement after heavy daily use?

The ball-bearing slides and lock cylinders are the moving parts most likely to wear; the hangrails can be swapped if bent.

At what point does the anti-tip mechanism stop me from opening a second drawer?

The interlock allows only one drawer to extend at a time; it blocks the second drawer until the first is fully closed.
