Compatible 15.4″ MacBook Pro A1398 display

This 15.4″ IPS panel replaces the LP154WT1 (SJAV) screen in MacBook Pro A1398 models. It delivers WQXGA+ 2880×1800 resolution with 16.7M colours and a non-touch surface. Buyers needing a touch-enabled assembly or a different connector pin-out cannot use this part.

60 Hz IPS panel thermals and power

The screen runs at a 60 Hz refresh rate with standard IPS power characteristics. No backlight inverter or separate driver board is included, so heat output and draw match the original factory specification. Installers should reuse the existing cooling and power delivery from the host notebook.

30-pin connector fit and cable routing

A 30-pin connector matches the MacBook Pro A1398 cable harness directly. The display-only package frees up the original hinge brackets, webcam module and antenna cables for reuse. Builders must transfer those parts from the old lid assembly during installation.

Questions about this item

How do I install the LP154WT1 (SJAV) screen and which step do people often miss?

Disconnect the battery, remove the bezel, unplug the 30‑pin connector from the old panel, fit the new screen, reconnect the 30‑pin cable firmly, then reassemble. The step most often missed is reconnecting the battery before testing the display.

What maintenance or replacement will the LP154WT1 (SJAV) need later?

The IPS panel has no user‑serviceable parts. If backlight uniformity fades or dead pixels appear after extended use, the whole screen assembly must be replaced; no separate inverter or lamp module exists.

What limit appears first during sustained use of the LP154WT1 (SJAV)?

The 60 Hz refresh rate caps motion smoothness, so fast‑scrolling content may show blur before any thermal or power limit is reached.
