15.6-inch WUXGA replacement panel

This 15.6-inch display provides a 1920x1200 resolution at a 60Hz refresh rate. It delivers 500 cd/m² brightness and a 1650:1 contrast ratio for clear visuals. The panel covers 100% sRGB with 16.7M colours and offers wide 89-degree viewing angles. It is a non-touch screen designed as a direct replacement part.

40-pin connector compatibility

The screen uses a 40-pin connector and matches the LP156WU1 (SP)(B1) part number exactly. Buyers must verify their original panel model before ordering to ensure the correct fit. This part will not suit laptops requiring a different pin layout, a touch digitiser, or a different resolution. Anyone unsure of their model should confirm specifications first.

Connector type decides fit

The single specification that determines compatibility is the 40-pin connector interface. An exact match to the LP156WU1 (SP)(B1) model is required for proper installation. If the original screen uses a different pin count or connector position, this panel will not connect. No other specification overrides this physical requirement.

Questions about this item

Does the 40-pin connector on this 15.6-inch panel carry a 60 Hz signal at 1920x1200?

Yes, the 40-pin eDP connector supports the native 1920x1200 resolution at 60 Hz without adaptation.

What are the physical mounting dimensions and screw-hole pattern for the LP156WU1 chassis?

The panel follows the standard 15.6-inch slim form factor with top and bottom mounting tabs spaced for common laptop hinges.

Which way does the 40-pin flex cable route during installation, and what is the common mistake?

Route the cable toward the hinge side; the frequent error is folding it sharply over the PCB, which cracks the traces.
