16-inch WUXGA 165 Hz replacement panel

This 16-inch LCD replaces the N160JME-GEK panel in compatible laptops. It delivers a 1920 x 1200 WUXGA resolution at a 165 Hz refresh rate. The matte surface shows 16.7 million colours covering 45 percent NTSC. No touch layer is fitted.

40-pin connector fits existing cable

The screen uses a standard 40-pin interface that matches the original display cable. No adapter or harness change is required during installation. The slim 16-inch form factor leaves the existing hinge and bezel clearance untouched. Builders simply swap the panel and reconnect the single ribbon.

300 cd/m² brightness and 1200:1 contrast

Typical indoor lighting is handled comfortably by the 300 cd/m² backlight. The 1200:1 contrast ratio keeps text sharp and dark scenes distinct. Wide 89-degree viewing angles in all four directions preserve colour consistency. Outdoor use or colour-critical work will exceed the panel's gamut and brightness headroom.

Questions about this item

At what refresh rate does the 165Hz panel hit its motion limit during long sessions?

The panel is rated at 165Hz and will hold that refresh rate as long as the system drives it; there is no lower sustained-use ceiling in the specification.

How hot or loud does the N160JME-GEK get when driven at 165Hz all day?

The screen itself has no fan or active cooling; it produces no audible noise and its surface temperature stays within normal LCD operating range at 300 cd/m² brightness.

Which connector and pin count must the laptop already provide for this 40-pin display?

The replacement requires a 40-pin eDP connector on the motherboard; the laptop must supply that exact interface for the screen to work.
