16-inch 165 Hz replacement panel

This LPScreen NE160WUM-NX4 is a new 16-inch laptop replacement screen built to a WUXGA 1920x1200 resolution and a 165 Hz refresh rate. It targets owners of compatible laptops who need a direct panel swap without touch functionality. The 40-pin connector matches the original hardware interface.

Upgrade from 60 Hz or damaged panels

The jump is worth it when the original screen runs at 60 Hz and the user wants smoother motion for gaming or fast scrolling, or when the existing panel is cracked, dim or showing dead pixels. A 165 Hz refresh rate reduces motion blur compared to standard 60 Hz laptop displays. Buyers who need touch input or a different connector pin count cannot use this model.

100 % sRGB colour at 250 cd/m²

The panel covers 100 % sRGB with 16.7 million colours and a 1000:1 contrast ratio, which is sufficient for general productivity, media consumption and entry-level creative work. Brightness tops out at 250 cd/m², so outdoor use in direct sunlight will be difficult. Viewing angles reach 89 degrees in all four directions, keeping colour consistent off-centre.

Questions about this item

Does the 40-pin connector match the cable routing on a 16-inch chassis?

Yes, the panel uses a 40-pin connector designed for the NE160WUM-NX4 form factor, so the ribbon aligns with the standard 16-inch mounting points.

What is the correct order for seating the 40-pin connector before securing the bezel?

Insert the 40-pin ribbon fully into the motherboard socket, lock the retention flap, then verify the 1920x1200 image at 165 Hz before snapping the bezel shut.

When should the panel be replaced if the 250 cd/m² backlight degrades?

Replace the screen when brightness drops noticeably below 250 cd/m² or the 1000:1 contrast ratio no longer renders the 16.7M 100% sRGB colours accurately.
