Reliable 12 FT Handset Cord

This Lumenzi TC-HSCRD-12-BK-1 connects a telephone handset to its base using a standard RJ9 4P4C interface. The 12 FT coiled length gives extra reach for desk or wall-mounted phones in offices and homes. Stranded bare copper conductors and a polycarbonate connector housing provide a dependable link for daily voice communication.

Gold-Plated Contacts Resist Interference

Precision-moulded connectors with gold-plated contacts maintain a stable, noise-free signal during calls. The coiled PVC jacket prevents tangling and reduces cable strain when the handset is moved. No external power or active electronics are involved, so power draw and thermal output are not applicable.

Simple Plug-In Accessory

The cord ships ready to use with no bundled software, drivers or adapters. Installation is limited to seating the modular plugs into the handset and base ports. It does not add features such as volume control, mute switching or headset conversion. Buyers who need a longer straight cable or a different connector type should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

How do I install the RJ9 4P4C connectors on this 12 FT handset cord and what step is often missed?

Align the 4P4C plug with the handset and base ports, press until the latch clicks, then stretch the coiled 1.5 inch lead gently to seat the contacts fully — skipping the stretch leaves intermittent audio.

What maintenance or replacement will the stranded bare copper conductors and PVC jacket need over time?

Inspect the coiled 1.5 inch lead for cracks or permanent kinks every few months; replace the 12 FT cord if the jacket splits or the gold-plated contacts show corrosion.

What limit appears first when the 12 FT coiled cord is stretched repeatedly during long calls?

The 1.5 inch lead coil reaches its elastic limit first; overstretching deforms the PVC jacket and stresses the stranded copper, causing permanent sag and signal loss.
