14-in-1 USB-C Docking Hub

The LUOM DS14IN1 is a 14-in-1 USB-C docking station that adds HDMI, VGA, Ethernet, audio, card readers and multiple USB ports to a single Type-C connection. It supports Power Delivery up to 87 W so the host laptop stays charged while peripherals are attached. The silver aluminium enclosure measures 10.5 by 3 by 0.75 inches and weighs 14 ounces. It works with Thunderbolt 3 hosts and a wide range of USB-C laptops.

Dual-display users and legacy-video needs

This hub suits anyone who needs two external monitors at once via HDMI at 4K 30 Hz and VGA at 1080p 60 Hz, plus wired Gigabit Ethernet and SD or TF card access. It also provides three USB 3.0 ports at 5 Gbps, two USB 2.0 ports at 480 Mbps and two USB-C data ports at 5 Gbps. Buyers who require higher refresh rates at 4K, a second HDMI or DisplayPort output, or Thunderbolt-speed upstream bandwidth should look at a different class of dock.

Check host port capabilities first

Before ordering, verify that your laptop’s USB-C port supports video alt-mode for dual displays and can accept Power Delivery input up to 87 W. Confirm the operating system can drive two independent external screens over a single USB-C link. Ensure you have a suitable USB-C power adapter if you want pass-through charging while the hub is in use.

Questions about this item

Does the LUOM DS14IN1 need a USB-C port that supports video output on my laptop?

Yes, the host USB-C port must carry DisplayPort Alt Mode so the hub can drive its 4K/30 Hz HDMI and 1080p/60 Hz VGA outputs.

Will the hub’s three USB 3.0 Type-A ports still run at 5 Gbps when I also use the Gigabit Ethernet jack?

Yes, the USB 3.0 ports and the RJ45 10/100/1000 Mbps port operate independently, so each keeps its rated speed.

How can I confirm the hub is delivering up to 87 W of pass-through power to my laptop?

Connect an 87 W USB-C PD charger to the hub’s PD port; your laptop’s battery indicator should show it is charging at the full rate.
