USB-A to USB-C cable with 80W charging

This two-pack of blue nylon-braided cables connects USB-A chargers to USB-C devices at up to 80W. Each cable is 6.6ft long and includes an integrated E-marker chip that negotiates power delivery up to 11V 5A. An LED display on the connector shows real-time charging status.

Check your charger and port before ordering

You need a USB-A power source capable of delivering the wattage your device requires; the cable itself does not increase charger output. Verify that your laptop, phone or tablet accepts charging over USB-C and that the USB-A port on your adapter or hub can supply sufficient current for the target device.

Replaces standard USB-A to USB-C cables limited

The jump is worth it when you charge laptops such as a MacBook Pro 16 or phones like the Samsung S20 at 80W instead of slower legacy rates. It is not for users who only need 480Mbps data sync without high-power charging or who require a USB-C to USB-C connection.

Questions about this item

Does the 2-pack include any charger or do I need a separate 80W USB-C Power Delivery charger to reach the 80W rate?

The pack contains two 6.6 ft USB-A to USB-C cables only. To achieve the 80W (11V 5A) charging speed you must supply your own 80W USB-C Power Delivery charger.

Both cables are 6.6 ft and blue; is there any difference in current rating or chip between them?

No. Each cable in the 2-pack is identical: 7 A maximum current, built-in E-marker chip, aluminium alloy shell and nylon braided jacket.

What does the 80W figure mean when I plug the cable into a MacBook Pro 16 with an 80W charger?

With an 80W USB-C Power Delivery charger the cable can deliver up to 80W (11V 5A), charging a MacBook Pro 16 in about 2 hours and a Samsung S20 to 80 % in 35 minutes.
