Right-angle USB-C cable for gaming and media

This LUOM Essager CGL cable carries 100W at 20V and 5A with a 90-degree "L" connector. The right-angle design keeps the plug clear of your hand while you play games, watch videos or read on a tablet or phone. It supports Quick Charge 4.0 and Power Delivery for compatible laptops, phones and consoles. Data moves at up to 480Mbps.

Practical limits of the USB-C interface here

The cable is rated for 100W maximum power delivery, so devices that draw more will not charge at full speed. Data throughput tops out at 480Mbps, which is the USB 2.0 rate, so large file transfers take longer than on a USB 3 or USB 4 link. The 10ft length adds resistance; very high current loads may see a small voltage drop compared with a shorter run.

Simple plug-in with one common snag

Both ends are standard USB-C, so installation is a matter of plugging into the host and the device. The right-angle moulding can face either up or down depending on the port orientation; if the port sits tight against a bezel the elbow may not seat fully. Dust in the recessed corner of the "L" can build up over time and should be cleared with a dry brush.

Questions about this item

Which length should I choose among 3.3 ft, 6.6 ft and 10 ft?

The 10 ft version lets you reach a wall outlet from a sofa or bed; the 6.6 ft suits a desk; the 3.3 ft is best for a power bank or car port.

What does the 100 W rating mean when I plug this cable into my laptop?

It can deliver up to 100 W at 20 V and 5 A, so a compatible USB-C laptop charges at full speed while you use it.

The cable mentions USB 2.0 480 Mbps — what does that cap in practice?

Data moves at up to 480 Mbps, fine for syncing photos or documents, but too slow for video output or large backups.
