What this cable does and who needs it

This LUOM Essager XJ USB-C to USB-C cable delivers up to 100W of power at 5A and transfers data at 480Mbps. It suits anyone charging phones, tablets or laptops that accept USB-C power delivery up to 100W. The 3.3ft length works well on a desk, bedside or in a car. Two cables are included in the pack.

Practical limits of the USB-C PD 100W interface

The cable can carry a maximum of 100W, but actual charging speed depends on the charger and the device you connect. If your hardware only draws 40W, that is the peak you will see. Data transfer is capped at 480Mbps, so large file moves will be slower than on cables rated for higher speeds. The transparent ends show the internal circuitry that manages the power negotiation.

Check your setup before ordering

Confirm that your charger and device both support USB Power Delivery up to 100W if you want the fastest charge. Verify that the USB-C ports on your equipment are designed for power input or output as needed. The 3.3ft reach may be short for some desktop arrangements, so measure the distance between your power source and device. This pack contains two identical black cables.

Questions about this item

One cable is 3.3 ft and the other is 6.6 ft — which length should I pick?

The pack contains two identical 3.3 ft cables; there is no 6.6 ft version included. Choose this pack if you want two short cables for desk or bedside use.

The box says 100 W — will my laptop actually draw 100 W through this cable?

The cable supports up to 100 W at 20 V and 5 A, but the real power depends on your charger and device; a phone limited to 40 W will only draw 40 W.

Does the USB-C connector carry video or only charging and data?

The specification lists 480 Mbps data transfer and 100 W charging; no video or alternate-mode bandwidth is mentioned.
