What this cable does and who buys it

A USB-C to Lightning cable that delivers up to 20W Power Delivery charging for iPhone 14, 13 and 12 series models as well as recent iPad and AirPods devices. The Apple MFi certification guarantees safe charging and data sync without compatibility alerts. The two-pack supplies a spare for home, office or travel use.

Capacity and headroom

Maximum output reaches 27W at 3A so the cable can charge an iPhone 13 to roughly 50 percent in 30 minutes when paired with a suitable PD charger. Data moves at 480 Mbps, enough for photo backups and local file transfers. Older iPhone 7, SE first generation and earlier iPad models will charge but only at their own lower supported rates.

Practical limits of the USB-C to Lightning interface

The Lightning connector caps transfer speed at USB 2.0 rates so large video libraries move slowly compared with modern USB-C devices. Fast charging requires a separate USB-C Power Delivery charger, which is not included. The 3.3 ft length suits desktop or bedside use but may fall short for distant wall outlets.

Questions about this item

Will the 3.3 ft USB-C to Lightning cable work with my older USB-A charger?

No, the input interface is Type-C only so it requires a USB-C Power Delivery charger to deliver 20 W fast charging.

How can I confirm the cable is charging at the full 20 W rate after I plug it in?

The iPhone lock screen will show a lightning bolt and the battery percentage will rise to roughly 50 % in 30 minutes when paired with a PD charger.

Does the two-pack include a USB-C power adapter or only the braided cables?

Only the two 3.3 ft USB-C to Lightning cables are included; a compatible USB-C PD charger must be purchased separately.
