What you get

The LUOM F18 is a right-handed gaming mouse that works both wirelessly over a 2.4 GHz USB dongle and wired via a 1.5 m cable. It offers six selectable DPI steps from 600 to 3200, seven programmable buttons and a 500 Hz polling rate in either mode. No driver installation is required on Windows or macOS.

Before you buy

Your system needs a free USB-A port for the receiver or the charging cable. The mouse draws power from an internal rechargeable battery that cannot be removed, so plan for occasional wired charging sessions. The supplier lists compatibility back to Windows 2000 and Mac OS 9.x, but modern operating systems will also recognise it as a standard HID device.

What it replaces

This model upgrades a basic office mouse or an older wireless peripheral that lacks adjustable sensitivity and extra side buttons. The jump is worthwhile when you want on-the-fly DPI switching and a lag-free 2.4 GHz link without paying for a flagship sensor. It does not suit left-handed users or anyone who needs a swappable battery.

Questions about this item

Does the mouse come with a USB receiver and cable, or do I need to buy them separately?

The F18 includes a 2.4 GHz USB receiver stored in the battery compartment and a 1.5 m USB cable for wired use; nothing extra is required.

Which of the six DPI steps should I pick for fast-paced shooters versus everyday work?

The mouse offers 600, 1000, 1600, 2000, 2400 and 3200 DPI; lower steps suit precision work while the higher steps give quicker cursor travel for shooters.

What does the 500 Hz polling rate actually deliver when I am gaming wirelessly?

A 500 Hz report rate means the mouse sends position updates every 2 milliseconds, matching typical wired performance so movement feels immediate in games.
