Bi-Directional HDMI 2.1 Switch

The LUOM HDMI Bi-Directional Switch provides two HDMI ports that can operate as a 2-in-1-out selector or a 1-in-2-out splitter. It supports HDMI 2.1 and HDCP 2.3 for modern source devices and displays. The unit handles video resolutions up to 8K at 60 Hz and 4K at 120 Hz. Only one output display is active at a time in splitter mode.

Plug-and-Play Integration

No external power supply is required; the switch draws power from the connected HDMI sources. A single button on the aluminium chassis toggles between inputs or outputs, while two LED indicators show the active path. Nickel-plated connectors and 48 Gbps bandwidth maintain signal integrity for Dynamic HDR, Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision content. Standard HDMI 2.1 cables up to 1.5 m are recommended for 8K signals.

Ideal For Simple Source Switching

This switch suits users who need to share one display between two consoles, PCs or streaming devices, or who want to send a single source to one of two screens without simultaneous output. It is not designed for users who require both displays active at once, matrix routing of multiple sources to multiple sinks, or integrated audio extraction and downscaling features.

Questions about this item

Will the 48 Gbps bandwidth sustain 8K 60 Hz without signal drop over a full day?

The switch is rated for 48 Gbps and supports 8K at 60 Hz; use certified HDMI 2.1 cables no longer than 1.5 m for reliable all-day operation.

Does the aluminium case stay cool and silent during continuous 4K 120 Hz gaming?

The unit is passively cooled with an aluminium shell and has no fan, so it runs silently; the nickel-plated ports minimise heat from signal loss during extended sessions.

Which HDMI 2.1 cables and source devices must I already own to reach 4K 120 Hz?

You need HDMI 2.1 cables rated for 48 Gbps and a source such as an RX 3060, 3070, 3080, RX 6600, 6700, 6800, 6900, PS5 or Xbox that can output 4K at 120 Hz.
