A durable metal enclosure provides passive heat dissipation and keeps the converter at a favourable working temperature during continuous operation. No fan is present, so the device adds zero acoustic noise to studio or on-location environments. Power is drawn directly from the HDMI source, eliminating the need for an external supply and reducing cable clutter.
