Bi-Directional HDMI 2.1 Switch
The LUOM OZ8AB is a compact bi-directional switch that lets you route two HDMI sources to one display or one source to two displays. It is designed for users who need to share a single 8K screen between a console and a PC or toggle a single source between two monitors. Only one output is active at a time. It requires the included DC 5V power adapter to operate.
HDMI 2.1 Bandwidth and Resolution Limits
The switch passes up to 48Gbps bandwidth and supports 7680x4320 at 60Hz, 1080p at 240Hz, and 4K at 120Hz or 144Hz. It is backward compatible with earlier HDMI standards. The supplier recommends using certified HDMI 2.1 cables no longer than 3 metres for 8K@60Hz or 4K@120Hz signals. It does not support automatic switching; source changes are manual only.
Manual Button Switching and Signal Delay
A physical button on the unit selects the active input or output. For some high-power devices, the manual switch can take three to six seconds to complete the handshake. The two outputs cannot display simultaneously, so this is not a matrix splitter. The aluminium alloy enclosure aids heat dissipation during extended use.

Questions about this item
Should I pick the 2-in-1-out or 1-in-2-out mode for my setup?
Choose 2-in-1-out when you have two sources such as a console and a PC feeding one screen, or 1-in-2-out when one source must alternate between two displays — the second display stays dark while the first is active.
What does the 48Gbps bandwidth actually deliver on my TV or monitor?
It carries 8K at 60Hz, 4K at 120Hz or 144Hz, and 1080p at 240Hz without compression, provided your cables and devices also support those modes.
Which HDMI version does the switch use and what does that cap in practice?
The unit uses HDMI 2.1, capping the link at 48Gbps and enabling 8K@60Hz, 4K@120Hz/144Hz and 1080p@240Hz; older HDMI standards work at their own lower limits.
