What this capture device does

The LUOM OZC3B is a USB 3.0 video capture device that accepts HDMI input up to 4K at 60 Hz and records or streams at 1080p 60fps. The aluminium housing helps with heat dissipation during extended sessions. It also provides a 3.5 mm microphone input and headphone output for live commentary.

Limits of the USB 3.0 interface

The device captures at a maximum of 1080p 60fps even though the HDMI input can handle 4K 60 Hz signals. MJPEG and YUY2 are the supported video formats, and audio is converted to 48 KHz PCM. The HDMI loop-out passes the source signal through at up to 4K 60fps without adding latency. Compatibility covers Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10 or later, Linux and Mac OS, though Windows 7 may require a separate driver installation.

Verify that your source device outputs HDMI and that your computer has a free USB 3.0 port for full bandwidth. If you plan to use the loop-out, ensure your display or downstream device accepts the source resolution.
