Three-source optical switch

The LUOM OZG2 accepts three Toslink inputs and routes one to a single SPDIF output. It lets a soundbar, AV receiver or amplifier share a single optical port among consoles, Blu-ray players, Apple TV or cable boxes. A front-panel button and the supplied IR remote both select the active source. The unit remembers the last selection after power loss.

Replaces manual cable swapping

Instead of unplugging and reconnecting optical leads, you press a button or point the remote from up to 3 m away. The jump is worth it when three digital sources must share one optical input on a soundbar or older receiver that lacks HDMI switching. It does not serve buyers who need more than three inputs or who require HDMI audio extraction.

Limited to stereo and legacy surround

Optical bandwidth carries LPCM 2.0, DTS and Dolby Digital at sample rates of 32, 44.1, 48, 96 or 192 kHz. It cannot transport 7.1-channel Dolby Digital Plus or Dolby TrueHD because those formats exceed the SPDIF interface capacity. Fibre runs up to 40 m (130 ft) with loss below .2 dB per metre.
