Bi-directional HDMI 2.1 switch for two sources

The LUOM OZQ8AB3 is a compact bi-directional HDMI 2.1 switch that lets you connect two HDMI sources to one display or one source to two displays. It supports 8K at 60 Hz, 4K at 120 Hz and 144 Hz, and 1080p at 240 Hz with VRR and Dynamic HDR. Gamers and home-theatre users can toggle between a console, PC or Blu-ray player without unplugging cables.

Passive operation with no external power required

The unit draws power from the connected HDMI devices, so no separate power supply or driver is needed. It handles up to 48 Gbps bandwidth while staying cool and silent in normal use. Maximum reliable cable lengths are 1.5 metres for 8K, 3 metres for 4K and 8 metres for 1080p signals.

Remote and manual switching with bundled accessories

A credit-card IR remote and a USB-C power cable are included in the box, along with a user manual. The remote lets you change the active input or output from across the room, while a button on the switch provides manual selection. Two AAA batteries for the remote are not included.

Questions about this item

How do I install the LUOM OZQ8AB3 switch and what step do people often miss?

Connect each source to an HDMI input, the display to the HDMI output, then plug the included USB-C cable into a 5 V USB port for power; the step users skip is powering the switch, so the remote and auto-switching will not work without it.

What maintenance or replacement will the LUOM OZQ8AB3 need later?

The IR remote requires two AAA batteries, which are not included and will need replacing when the remote range drops; the switch itself has no fan or moving parts, so no other consumable maintenance is required.

What is the first limit I will hit with the LUOM OZQ8AB3 under sustained 8K@60Hz use?

The 48 Gbps bandwidth ceiling and the 1.5 metre maximum cable length for 8K@60Hz are the first constraints; longer cables or higher refresh rates will force a fallback to 4K@120Hz or 1080P@240Hz.
