Bi-directional HDMI 2.1 switch

The LUOM OZQ8AB3 is a bi-directional HDMI 2.1 switch with two ports. It connects two source devices to one display or routes one source between two screens. The unit supports 8K at 60 Hz, 4K at 144 Hz and 120 Hz, and 1080p at 240 Hz. It is aimed at gamers and home-cinema users who need to toggle between consoles, PCs or media players without swapping cables.

Black aluminium chassis with remote control

The compact black enclosure measures 5.91 by 2.36 by 0.79 inches and weighs 11.9 ounces. Two HDMI output ports and one input port handle the bi-directional routing. A push button on the device and the supplied infrared remote let you change the active path instantly. The package includes a USB-C power cable; HDMI cables are not supplied.

Passive cooling with certified cable limits

The switch draws power from the USB-C connection and operates without a fan, so it adds no audible noise to the setup. Signal integrity is rated for 8K resolution up to 1.5 metres (4.9 ft), 4K up to 3 metres (9.8 ft) and 1080p up to 8 metres (26.2 ft). HDCP 2.3, VRR and Dynamic HDR pass through transparently during normal use.

Questions about this item

What resolution and refresh rate does the HDMI 2.1 interface actually support?

The switch handles 8K at 60 Hz, 4K at 120 Hz or 144 Hz, and 1080p at 240 Hz over its HDMI 2.1 ports.

How much space does the 5.91 x 2.36 x 0.79 inch unit need behind my TV?

It fits in a 5.91 by 2.36 inch footprint and stands 0.79 inch tall, weighing 11.9 ounces, so it sits on a shelf or Velcro-mounts behind a display.

Do I need to install drivers or firmware before the remote starts switching sources?

No driver or firmware step exists; plug the sources and display into the two HDMI ports, connect the included USB-C power cable, then press the button or use the IR remote — the only common mistake is forgetting the USB-C power lead.
