LUOM OZQ9 4K@60Hz HDMI Switch

The LUOM OZQ9 is a 4x1 HDMI 2.0b switch with an integrated audio extractor. It accepts four HDMI sources and routes one to a display at up to 4K@60Hz with 18.5Gbps bandwidth. Optical Toslink, coaxial and 3.5mm outputs separate the audio stream for external speakers or receivers. The unit includes an IR remote for input selection and a 5V/1A power adapter.

Replaces basic HDMI splitters without audio breakout

A simple splitter duplicates the signal but cannot send audio to a soundbar or AV receiver separately. This switch adds ARC on the HDMI output plus dedicated Toslink and coaxial ports that also support audio return. The jump is worth it when you need 4K@60Hz HDR10 video on the display while feeding 36-bit deep-colour audio to a separate system. It does not suit installations that require more than four inputs or DVI connectivity.

Plug the sources, connect the display, attach power

Installation is straightforward: connect up to four HDMI devices, run one HDMI cable to the screen, link the audio outputs you need, then apply the supplied 5V/1A adapter. The IR remote switches inputs without front-panel buttons. The most common issue is using HDMI-to-DVI cables, which the manufacturer states are not compatible. Cable runs should stay within three metres for 4K@60Hz or five metres for 4K@30Hz to maintain signal integrity.

Questions about this item

What depth of rack or shelf space does the 5.91 x 2.36 x 0.79-inch switch require?

The unit is 0.79 inches deep, 2.36 inches wide and 5.91 inches long, so any flat surface with at least those clearances will accommodate it.

Which cable must be plugged in first to get ARC audio from the TV back to the extractor?

Connect the TV to the HDMI output port marked ARC using an HDMI 2.0b cable no longer than 3 metres for 4K@60Hz, then enable ARC on the TV before powering the switch.

When will the IR remote need a new battery?

The remote ships without a battery; fit a standard coin cell and replace it when button presses no longer change the active HDMI input.
