LUOM OZU3 Bi-Directional USB 3.0 Switch

The LUOM OZU3 is a bi-directional USB 3.0 switch that lets two computers share one peripheral or one computer swap between two devices. It suits home offices and small workspaces where a printer, scanner or similar accessory must be accessed from multiple systems without unplugging cables.

Sustained data transfer up to 5 Gbps

The switch maintains USB 3.0 bandwidth of up to 5 Gbps during continuous use, provided both the connected cables and the peripheral support the standard. A blue indicator confirms active data transfer, and the single-button control changes the active path instantly without software installation or driver configuration.

Passive operation with no external power

The unit draws power directly from the USB bus, eliminating the need for an external adapter and keeping heat output negligible. Its compact black enclosure measures 5.2 by 4.61 by 1.22 inches and weighs 4.66 ounces, while the two included 3.3 ft USB-A to USB-A cables reach across a typical desk without strain.

Questions about this item

Does the LUOM OZU3 switch generate noticeable heat or fan noise when left running all day?

The switch draws power from the USB bus and has no fan, so it produces no audible noise and only minimal warmth during continuous use.

What cables or ports must I already have on my computers to use the two 3.3 ft cables included in the box?

Each computer needs a free USB 3.0 Type-A port; the included 3.3 ft USB-A to USB-A cables plug directly into those ports.

Will the 5 Gbps bandwidth work with my older USB 2.0 printer if I share it between two PCs?

Yes, the switch is backward-compatible with USB 2.0 devices, though the transfer rate will fall to the 2.0 limit rather than 5 Gbps.
