Two 3.3 ft USB-C cables for 100 W charging

This two-pack supplies 3.3 ft USB-C to USB-C cables rated for USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 operation. Each cable delivers up to 100 W of power at 20 V/5 A and moves data at up to 20 Gbps. The connectors are male-to-male and finished in black.

20 Gbps ceiling and DP Alt Mode requirement

The USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 interface tops out at 20 Gbps, so hosts and peripherals must also support that generation to reach the rated speed. Video output at 3840x2160 60 Hz with HDR 10-bit colour works only when the source port implements DisplayPort Alternate Mode; without it the cable carries power and data but no video signal.

Check that your USB-C ports support 100 W PD

Verify that the charger or dock can supply 100 W over USB Power Delivery and that the host port is wired for DP Alt Mode if you need 4K 60 Hz video. Devices limited to lower PD profiles or lacking the alternate mode will fall back to slower charging and data-only operation.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 3.3 ft 2-pack or look for a different length?

The 3.3 ft 2-pack gives two identical USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 cables at a convenient desktop length; choose it if you need a spare or a second cable for another device.

What does 20 Gbps mean when I copy files to an external SSD?

With a Thunderbolt 3 drive and a host port that supports USB 3.2 Gen 2x2, large transfers can approach 2030 MB/s, far above the 480 MB/s ceiling of USB 2.0.

Will the USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 interface deliver 20 Gbps on every port?

The cable is rated for 20 Gbps, but the actual speed caps at whatever the host and device ports support — many USB-C ports only run at 5 or 10 Gbps.
