USB4 cable for power users

The LUOM PQ006 is a USB4 Gen 3x2 cable with USB C male connectors on both ends. It targets users who need one cable that handles maximum charging, data and video demands across laptops, tablets, phones, eGPU enclosures and high-resolution displays. The reversible, bi-directional design works with every USB Type C port.

3.3 ft black cable with extended power range

At 3.3 ft the black cable stays manageable on a desk or in a bag while reaching wall chargers or docks. Extended Power Range support means it negotiates 48 V at 5 A for 240 W delivery, yet remains fully backwards compatible with 180 W, 100 W, 60 W and lower profiles. Thunderbolt 3 compatibility adds dock and eGPU flexibility without a second cable type.

40 Gbps bandwidth decides the use case

The single specification that determines fit is the 40 Gbps bi-directional data rate with USB4 Gen 3x2 devices. It enables single 8K at 60 Hz or dual 4K at 60 Hz video, plus transfer speeds that can move 14 hours of HD video or 25 000 photos in a minute. Buyers whose host ports only reach 20 Gbps will not see the full throughput.

Questions about this item

What real-world speed does the USB4 Gen 3x2 interface cap at?

The cable reaches 40 Gbps with USB4 Gen 3x2 devices and falls back to 20 Gbps on Gen 2 ports.

What physical clearance does the 3.3 ft USB C male-to-male cable need?

It requires two free USB-C ports with enough space for the reversible plugs; the 3.3 ft length suits desktop or dock connections.

How do I install the cable so it delivers 240 W and 8K@60 Hz?

Plug both ends into USB4 or Thunderbolt 3 ports that support PD 3.1 48 V/5 A and 40 Gbps video; the cable is bi-directional so orientation does not matter.
