The LUOM PQ068 is a USB 3.2 Type C male-to-female extension cable measuring 10 ft. It extends the reach of USB-C devices such as laptops, tablets and hubs while preserving full data, power and video capability. Builders who need a longer run between a host and a peripheral will find it useful. It does not work with USB-A or USB Mini-B ports.

Capacity and headroom

The cable supports up to 10 Gbps data transfer and 100 W (20 V / 5 A) Power Delivery charging when both host and charger support the standard. Video output reaches 4K at 60 Hz (3840 × 2160) as well as 1920 × 1200 and 1080p at 60 Hz. Bandwidth or power beyond those figures will not be delivered.

Practical limits of the USB 3.2 interface

The USB 3.2 Gen 2 10 Gbps link sets the maximum throughput for data and display signals combined. PD 3.0 negotiation caps charging at 100 W, so devices requiring more power will not charge at full speed. The 10 ft length is within specification, but signal integrity may degrade if the cable is daisy-chained or used with non-compliant adapters.
