USB A to C 3.2 Gen 2 cable

This 6.6 ft USB A to C cable supports USB 3.2 Gen 2 data rates up to 10 Gbps and 60 W Power Delivery charging. The 90 degree USB C connector reduces strain in tight ports. A 56 kΩ resistor ensures safe negotiation with host devices. Two cables are included in the pack.

Suits SSD docks and phone charging

The cable works with external SSDs, hard drives, smartphones, tablets and laptops that have a USB C port. It does not support video output or data transfer between two laptops. Buyers who need DisplayPort Alt Mode or Thunderbolt video should look at a different cable.

Simple plug and play

No drivers are required on Windows, macOS or Linux. The braided nylon jacket and reinforced strain relief survive repeated bending. The 90 degree plug can block adjacent ports on closely spaced hubs. Ensure the charger and device both support QC 3.0 for maximum charging speed.

Questions about this item

What USB-A host port is needed for the cable's 10Gbps transfer rate?

A USB 3.2 Gen 2 or USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-A port is required to reach the 10Gbps data speed. Older USB 3.0 or 2.0 ports will limit the rate.

Will the cable charge a legacy device that only draws 2.4A?

Yes. The cable supports up to 3A with QC 3.0, so it safely delivers the 2.4A your older device requests.

How can I verify the 10Gbps link is active after connecting my SSD?

Check the OS connection speed — it should show 10Gbps or 1250MB/s — and confirm large files transfer at near that throughput.
