SDI-to-HDMI Converter with Loopout

The LUOM SDI2HDMI converts SD-SDI, HD-SDI and 3G-SDI signals to HDMI while providing an SDI loop output. It accepts 480i, 567i, 720p and 1080i/p formats up to 1080p60. Video sampling at 4:2:2 and 4:4:4 is supported along with eight channels of 48 kHz digital audio. The unit is intended for camera operators, broadcast engineers and streamers who need to view or record SDI sources on HDMI monitors.

Verify SDI Source and Power

Confirm the source outputs a recognised SD-SDI, HD-SDI or 3G-SDI signal at one of the listed resolutions and frame rates. The converter does not accept RF, CVBS, AHD, TVI or CVI signals carried on BNC connectors. It requires a USB DC 5 V/1 A supply; ensure a suitable port or adapter is available. Operating temperature must stay between 0 °C and 50 °C with humidity below 85 % RH non-condensing.

Integration Into a Video Chain

Connect the BNC input to the camera or switcher, the HDMI output to a monitor, recorder or streaming encoder, and the SDI loop output to a second display or downstream device. The converter passes embedded audio through HDMI without separate cabling. It draws up to 5 W from the USB supply, leaving other power outlets free.
