SDI to HDMI conversion for broadcast workflows

The LUOM SDI2HDMI converter transforms SD-SDI, HD-SDI and 3G-SDI signals into HDMI while preserving a loop-through SDI output. It accepts 480i, 567i, 720p and 1080i/p formats up to 60 Hz and auto-detects the incoming standard. Eight-channel 48 kHz audio is de-embedded to the HDMI output. The unit draws power from a USB 5 V source, so no external brick is required.

Replaces separate scaler and distribution amp

A single box now handles format conversion and signal duplication that previously needed two devices. The jump is worth it when you must feed an HDMI monitor or recorder while keeping the original SDI chain intact. It does not up-convert to 4K, so workflows that need UHD resolution are not served by this converter.

Fits into camera-to-monitor or recorder chains

Connect the camera BNC to the input, run HDMI to a display or capture device, and loop SDI onward to a switcher or recorder. USB power can come from a monitor port or a small power bank.
