It is intended for ultrabooks, notebooks and tablets that lack a built-in RJ45 jack or have a failed internal network card. The adapter draws power from the USB bus and requires no external supply. It supports Windows 2000 through 8.1, macOS 10.6 and later, Chrome OS and Linux.

Replaces Broken Port Or Adds Second Interface

This adapter replaces a damaged onboard Ethernet controller or provides a separate routable network interface for advanced routing setups. The jump from Wi-Fi or 10/100 Mbps Ethernet is worth it when you need consistent 1000 Mbps throughput for large file transfers or low-latency connections.
