Dual-monitor KVM for four computers

This LUOM SW245-1DP1HD KVM switch lets you control four computers with a single keyboard, mouse and two displays. It accepts both HDMI and DisplayPort inputs from each system and routes them to two monitors. The unit supports resolutions up to 7680x4320 at 60 Hz and 4K at 120 Hz. A front-panel button and an infrared remote provide two ways to switch between sources.

Verify ports and cables on every system

Each computer must provide one HDMI output and one DisplayPort output to match the switch inputs. Both monitors need compatible HDMI or DisplayPort inputs for the chosen resolution. For 8K at 60 Hz you must use certified Ultra High Speed HDMI 2.1 cables on every link. The switch draws power from an included 12 V 1 A adapter, so a mains socket is required near the unit.

Bundled cables and remote simplify setup

Four USB 3.0 Type-A to Type-A cables are supplied to connect keyboard, mouse and other peripherals to the shared hub. The infrared remote and its cable allow switching from a distance without reaching the front panel. A printed user manual guides the initial configuration. No driver installation is needed on Windows, macOS, Linux or Unix systems.

Questions about this item

What cables and accessories come with the LUOM SW245-1DP1HD and what must I buy separately?

The box includes the KVM switch, four USB 3.0 A-to-A cables, a 12V1A power adapter, an IR cable, a remote control (batteries not included) and a user manual. You must supply two HDMI 2.1 cables and two DisplayPort 1.4 cables — one of each per computer — as they are not included.

How do I choose between the 8K 60Hz and 4K 120Hz capabilities of this switch?

The switch supports up to 7680×4320 at 60 Hz and 4K at 120 Hz. Select 8K 60Hz when your computers and monitors both support 8K@60Hz and you use certified HDMI 2.1 cables; choose 4K 120Hz for high-refresh gaming or workflows where 4K at 120 Hz is the native resolution of your displays.

What does the 8K 60Hz headline figure mean when I connect real computers and monitors?

It means the switch can pass 7680×4320 at 60 Hz per display, provided every computer has both HDMI and DisplayPort outputs, every monitor accepts that resolution, and you use HDMI 2.1 and DP 1.4 cables rated for the bandwidth. Otherwise the link falls back to the highest common mode such as 4K 120Hz or 1080p.
