Connects a USB-C or Thunderbolt source to a DisplayPort 1.4 monitor at up to 8K 60Hz or 4K 240Hz over 10 ft with triple-shielded copper conductors
This 10 ft cable connects a USB-C or Thunderbolt source to a DisplayPort 1.4 monitor. It targets professionals and gamers who need 8K 60 Hz or 4K 240 Hz output from laptops, tablets or desktops that support DP Alt Mode. The unidirectional design only carries video from the source to the display.
Triple shielding and a solid 28 AWG copper conductor maintain the full 32.4 Gbps HBR3 bandwidth across the entire length. The built-in CYPD smart chip handles DSC 1.2 compression, FEC and HDCP 2.2/2.3 without frame drops or flicker during long sessions. Backward compatibility with DP 1.3 and 1.2 preserves the link when displays negotiate lower rates.
Plug the USB-C end into a port that explicitly supports DisplayPort Alt Mode and the DisplayPort end into the monitor; no drivers are required on Windows, macOS or Linux. The only frequent issue is connecting to a USB-C port that carries data or power only, which results in no picture despite a physically sound connection.

Other versions of this model
The cable is passive with solid copper conductors and triple shielding, so it adds no active heat and draws only the negligible signal current from the host USB-C port.
The source device needs a USB-C or Thunderbolt port that supports DisplayPort Alt Mode; without Alt Mode the cable cannot transmit video.
Yes, the cable is backwards compatible with DisplayPort 1.2 and 1.3, so it will negotiate the highest resolution and refresh rate both ends support.
