What the cable delivers

The LUOM USB4 cable carries 40 Gbps data, 8K video at 60 Hz and up to 240 W power through a single USB‑C to USB‑C link. It suits professionals who connect high‑resolution monitors, fast external storage or power‑hungry laptops to a Thunderbolt 3 or USB4 host.

Sustained throughput

Rated at 40 Gbps, the cable maintains full bandwidth during long file transfers or continuous 8K streaming without dropping to lower speeds. Real‑world reads reach 2.8 GB/s and writes 2.1 GB/s when both host and device support the maximum rate, so large projects move steadily rather than in short bursts.

Build and daily use

Male‑to‑male connectors in a grey 3.3 ft jacket plug directly into laptops, docks or monitors without adapters. The 48 V / 5 A power rating means one cable handles charging, data and display simultaneously, reducing cable clutter on a desk or in a bag.

Questions about this item

Does the cable generate noticeable heat or power loss when delivering 240W continuously?

The cable is rated for 48V at 5A to deliver up to 240W, and it uses standard USB‑C connectors designed for that power level.

What charger and device must I already own to reach 240W charging?

You need a USB‑C power adapter and a host device that both support 48V/5A (240W) Power Delivery; the cable itself carries the power but does not negotiate it.

Will this cable work with my existing Thunderbolt 3 dock and 4K monitor?

Yes, it is backwards compatible with Thunderbolt 3 and supports 4K video output, so it will connect your dock to a 4K display without issue.
