Extra-large world-map desk mat

The LUOM WorldMap XL mouse pad measures 31.50 by 11.81 inches and is 2 mm thick, covering a full keyboard and mouse area. Its surface uses a double-weave cloth bonded to natural rubber, printed with standard world time zones. The stitched frame resists fraying during daily use.

Practical limits of cloth-and-rubber surface

Smooth cloth gives consistent glide for optical and laser sensors but can absorb moisture if liquid sits for long periods. The rubber base grips most hard desks yet may shift on polished glass or heavily textured surfaces. Thickness stays at 2 mm, so the mat does not bridge large gaps or raised desk edges.

Installation and common issues

Lay the mat flat; it unrolls without tools and the anti-slip base holds position immediately. Creases from packaging usually relax within a day, though cold storage can extend that time. Spills wipe off with a damp cloth, but harsh cleaners may degrade the printed time-zone artwork over repeated exposure.

Questions about this item

Which size should I choose for a low-DPI gaming setup?

The 31.50×11.81 in extra-large pad gives the surface area needed for wide, low-sensitivity mouse sweeps without running off the edge.

How does the 2 mm thickness feel during long sessions?

At 2 mm (0.78 in) the pad adds a thin, firm cushion that levels minor desk imperfections while keeping the mouse glide consistent.

What does the stitched frame actually prevent?

Anti-fray stitching locks the cloth edges so the surface will not peel or curl after repeated cleaning and heavy daily use.
