What this drill bit does

The M.A. Ford 20748440 Twister Brad & Spur Drill in 31/64 size is a power tool accessory designed for clean, accurate holes in wood. It suits woodworkers and DIY users who need a sharp entry point and reduced splintering on through-holes.

Check your chuck and workpiece

Verify that your drill chuck accepts the shank of this bit before ordering. Ensure the workpiece is clamped securely and that the material thickness suits a 31/64 inch cutting diameter. The bit is intended for wood; avoid metal or masonry.

Heat, noise and power in use

In normal wood drilling the bit runs cool enough for continuous operation with standard corded or cordless drills. Noise level matches typical high-speed drilling in timber. No special cooling or high-torque supply is required beyond a functional drill motor.

Questions about this item

What comes in the box with the M.A. Ford 20748440 Twister Brad & Spur Drill 31/64 and do I need to buy anything else?

The package contains the single 31/64 inch drill bit; no additional accessories are included so nothing extra is required to start drilling.

How do I decide whether the 31/64 size is the right Twister Brad & Spur Drill for my job?

Choose the 31/64 inch diameter when your project calls for a hole of that exact fractional size; the bit is designed for clean, accurate brad-point drilling in wood.

What does the 31/64 inch diameter mean for actual drilling performance in a hand drill or press?

The 31/64 inch measurement is the cutting diameter, so the bit will produce a hole of that precise width when used in a standard chuck at recommended speeds.
