The M.A. Ford Cyclone Xd is a 5.60 mm solid-carbide drill with internal coolant delivery and a double-margin design. It targets machine shops and production cells that need accurate holes in tough alloys without peck cycles. The three-times-diameter flute length supports moderate-depth drilling in a single pass.

Build integration and chip control

The through-tool coolant channel feeds cutting fluid directly to the point, evacuating chips from deep holes and reducing cycle time. Double margins guide the drill straight, improving roundness and surface finish so secondary reaming operations can often be skipped. Standard shank dimensions allow direct clamping in ER collets or hydraulic holders.

Sustained-load behaviour

Continuous coolant flow stabilises tip temperature during long production runs, limiting thermal expansion that would otherwise grow hole diameter.
