Compact 6-Channel Mixer for Live and Studio
The Mackie ProFX6v3+ is a 6-channel analog mixer built for live sound, home recording and content creation. It combines two Onyx microphone preamps with 60 dB of gain, a color LCD effects screen and bidirectional Bluetooth with mix-minus. The unit ships new and includes a USB cable plus Waveform OEM recording software.
Recording Modes and Bluetooth Integration
Three recording modes — Standard Stereo, Channel 1&2 Direct and Loopback — let you capture a full mix, isolate the first two channels or route computer audio back into the stream. Bidirectional Bluetooth handles incoming calls and playback while the mix-minus path prevents echo for remote guests. A 24-bit / 192 kHz 2x4 USB audio interface connects directly to a computer for digital capture.
Preamps, EQ and Effects Headroom
Two Onyx preamps deliver 60 dB of clean gain with ultra-low noise, 48 V phantom power and a 100 Hz low-cut filter on every mic channel. Channels 1 and 2 add 2-band EQ, one-button compression and a Hi-Z switch for direct instrument connection. The GigFX+ engine provides editable effects on the color display, giving ample processing headroom for vocals and instruments while the six-channel format limits simultaneous mic sources to two.

Questions about this item
How often do the Onyx preamps or GigFX+ engine need servicing?
The Onyx preamps and GigFX+ effects engine are solid-state with no user-serviceable parts, so no scheduled maintenance is required beyond keeping the unit clean and dry.
What limits continuous operation first — preamp headroom or USB bandwidth?
The Onyx preamps provide 60 dB of gain with ultra-low noise, and the USB interface runs at 24-bit / 192 kHz, so preamp headroom typically reaches its limit before USB bandwidth does.
How much heat or fan noise appears after hours of streaming with Bluetooth and USB active?
The mixer is passively cooled with no internal fan, so it produces no fan noise; the chassis warms slightly during extended use but stays within normal operating temperature.
