Product and audience

MAcnas M79 open-ear clip headphones use Bluetooth 5.4 for wireless listening. The 16.2 mm drivers deliver stereo sound while the open design keeps ears unblocked. Yellow finish and 101 gram weight suit runners, cyclists and commuters who need situational awareness. Not for buyers who want sealed isolation or active noise cancellation.

Thermals noise and power

No active cooling is required and the open fit prevents heat build-up during long sessions. Battery lasts 5 hours per charge and the case holds a 300 mAh reserve. Recharge takes 1.5 hours via USB. Bluetooth 5.4 maintains a stable link up to 10 metres with ultra-low latency. Microphone impedance of ~3K ohm supports clear calls without audible hiss.

Upgrade context

Replaces traditional in-ear buds that seal the canal and cause fatigue after hours of wear. The clip-on style adds adjustable clamping angle for a secure fit during movement. Directional audio technology reduces sound leakage compared with older open-ear models. Not for users who need multi-point pairing or on-board storage for offline playback.

Questions about this item

How do I attach the M79 open-ear clips so they stay put during a run?

Hook each bud over the top of your ear and rotate the adjustable clamping angle until the 16.2 mm driver sits just outside the canal; the 101 g weight keeps them stable without pressure.

What part will wear out first on the M79 and how do I know?

The sealed 300 mAh battery inside each bud is the only consumable; when the 5-hour playtime falls well short of that figure the cells need professional replacement.

What stops me from listening longer than five hours straight on the M79?

The buds hold a 5-hour charge at 115 dB sensitivity; after that the 300 mAh pack is empty and you must wait for the 1.5-hour recharge before continuing.
